Bombay style pilaf
Ingredients Required, Quantity & Preparation
Beef / chicken / Mutton
500-750g small cubes washed & soaked for 30 minutes
5 medium Onions finely sliced 300g
4 medium Tomatoes chopped 300g
3 medium peeled & halfed / 250g
3 tablespoons / chopped ginger 2pieces/25g
1 tablespoon, Garlic Paste heapfull / 25g
1 cup plain Yogurt Whipped / 200g
1 or 1 ½ Ghee / Oil / 175g – 250g
1 PACK SHAN BOMBAY BIRYANI MIX
STEPS OF COOKING
Fry the onion in Ghee / Oil until golden. Add tomatoes and fry until the oil separates.
Add meat , garlic, ginger, potatoes, yogurt & SHAN BOMBAY BIRYANI MIX. Fry for 15 minutes. Add 1 – 2 cups of water and cook on low heat until the meat is tender. Then increase the heat and stir fry until the separates from the gravy.
Separately : In 12 glasses of hot water add 3 tablespoons of Shan Salt in the soaked rice. Boil until the rice is more than half cooked . Remove from the heat and thoroughly drain the water.
Spread the cooked meat and curry over the rice in two layers. Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and tender. Mix before serving.

Serve with fresh salad and Raita (sour milk salad )Dhai
